Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is a time to reflect on all the blessings in our lives. It is a time for family, and get-togethers. It holds the anticipation of Christmas without the hustle and bustle (well… maybe a little of that).

We are very thankful for our new online connections. Thank you for being a part of TwinParenthood.

I’m working on a TwinTuesday post — but we’ve got enough snow in Seattle today that they canceled school… so I have 4 kids at home — and I’m sick, to boot!   But, I do hope to have something up later today. 

I hope you enjoyed last week’s party.  I’m working with a few other twins moms / authors, and we’re hoping to have a regular twintuesday event each week.  This week will just be a low key “chat” this evening on twitter from 4 – 8 pm PST (7 – 11 EST).  No giveaways planned, but an opportunity to connect with other twin parents on twitter. What is TwinTuesday and why would we have a party to celebrate it?

TwinTuesday is a weekly get together (can you say par-tay?) of twin parents on twin blogs and using social media such as Twitter and Facebook. TwinTuesday was started by a twin mom (TwinHappyJen) back in Spring, 2009. In recent months, TwinTuesday activity has been dwindling because our fearless leader (Jen) has been otherwise occupied with her own busy twin life. We’ve missed our twintuesday connections — so, a couple of us decided it was time to re-activate TwinTuesday.

UPDATE November 30th: We don’t have plans for giveaways today… but be sure to touch base on twitter today for some great conversation with other twin parents. We’re working towards a big announcement for next week, though… so be sure to check back! (This post was originally from a couple of Tuesdays ago).

We’re kicking it off this week (November 16) with a blog/twitter party from 4 – 8 pm PST. Let’s see, that would be 6 – 10 pm CST and 7 – 11 pm EST (the rest of you will just have to look up your timezone on this handy timezone converter). Why such a wide range? Because twin parents are BUSY people. We wanted to offer a wide window to allow parents in many different time zones to participate — and still be able to get dinner on the table and kids off to bed.

Plan to pop in and out at your leisure. Participate when you can. This is meant to be a chance for twin parents to connect, and share the joys and challenges of parenting twins.

How can you participate this TwinTuesday?

 
Simply check in periodically between 4 – 8pm PST here at TwinParenthood’s blog, on Twitter (search for hashtag #twintuesday), or on TwinParenthood’s Facebook page, and answer a twin parenting question or two — or as many as you’d like. Easy-peasy!
